It cannot be hidden that the American population is getting more and more obese with each passing day. But, this growth is not in terms of addition people, it is in terms of weight. Sadly enough a majority of the American population is obese. This condition does not just impact adults. Obesity is also affecting American youth in a very negative way. The body eventually feels the bad affect of obesity over time. Sadly enough a lot of affected body parts cannot be returned back to their original state. Because of this obesity people also get depressed. So they have another aspect to worry about, how to treat depression. So, the following article is going to list a few ways in which obesity has a negative impact on the human body.
The Neverending Cycle Begins
Ask any obese female and she will tell you that she is not a very happy person in general. She will probably tell you that being a big girl is not a problem for her, but she will say this because she is out of options if she does not make a change. Getting enough exercise and eating a balanced diet is the wisest method for getting rid of unwanted weight. But because she is so overweight, she cannot do physical activity without it hurting her. Every time that she attempts to exercise, she loses her breath and it takes too long to recover.
Unfortunately, she refuses to exercise, becomes sedentary and begins to get conditions such as high blood pressure and type two diabetes. Medical conditions such as these are very expensive to treat. She will either have pay unaffordable medical bills or continue to pay for expensive monthly medical bills. But, the bad thing is that she probably will not have enough income to pay for these services and medicine. Because she cannot pay her bills, this completely depresses her. She understands that at this point, she has to get rid of the weight, but she is too tired and depressed to do it. She understands that obesity is bringing her down tremendously. However, she does not have enough information on how to make a change.
Does this situation sound closely similar to your own? This seems to be the current dilemma for tons of American women. Not only is obesity hard for you physically, but it starts to negatively affect your mind as well.
Ways that it Affects the Body
One can get heart disease just from being fat. The extra fat in your body will lead to plaque build up in your coronary arteries. This will result in a lack of oxygen rich blood to your heart. Sadly enough, when too much of this plaque is in the system, it will cause you to have a heart attack. This plaque can also make your heart fail too.
Obesity can lead to strokes. Plaque buildup is also the culprit in this scenario too. However, in this instance, the plaque will crumble into tiny pieces and change into a blood clot. When this blood clot gets too close to your brain, it can create a blockage that cuts off the flow of oxygen. This will trigger a stroke.
Obesity causes excess estrogen to accumulate. Many people are not knowledgeable about it, but estrogen can trigger the female body to get out of whack if there is too much of supply. First, it can lead to cancer of the reproductive organs when there is too much estrogen in the blood. More estrogen and fat will produce even more insulin production. This will produce more cancer cells. Secondly, too much estrogen will cause your menstrual cycle to be out of whack. In order to ovulate every month, your body needs a balance of both estrogen and progesterone.
If there is not the right amount of progesterone and estrogen, then you will not ovulate. This means that even if you did want to get pregnant, your body will not release an egg for fertilization. Obesity causes temporary sterilization in numerous women. There is too much estrogen present in their body because of the additional fat. Your only other choice is to get rid of a few pounds so that you can make your reproductive function properly. For man women, they would only have to eliminate around 20 percent of their body weight in order to get pregnant.
In conclusion, obesity will make you remain in a continuous cycle that you cannot get out of. Between the medical conditions, expensive medications and changes in finances, this can also sink you into a deep depression. Find a way to make a change so that your life can get back on track again.
