Acne vulgaris is what we call acne. It’s a skin problem that may start during the teenage years and continue until a person is an adult. It’s been around for so long that science has already analyzed and produced state of the art treatments for it. Still, thousands suffer from this skin problem.
One thing you should know is that an acne does not constitute a pimple. If you have one bump on your face, then that’s just a simple pimple. However, an acne would arise if you have numerous pimples on your face.
Acne usually sets in when a person enters their teenage years. This is because the skin starts to stimulate copious amount of oil. As a result, the pores clog with dirt and thus erupt to a pimple. More males are affected by severe acne although the total number of acne sufferers are mostly female. Following are the three things you have to consider when treating this skin problem.
Treatment of Acne
The severity of the condition usually predicts the acne vulgaris treatment used. Mild acne is usually treated with over the counter cleansers and toners containing benzyl peroxide. Sometimes, even homemade treatments work well for this. You’ll notice that some of natural methods for acne include cucumber and garlic.
However, severe acne requires much more serious measures. Some acne vulgaris solution option for the severe cases include antibiotics such as erythromycin, clindamycin and tetracycline. However, this must only be taken when prescribed.
Prevention
When it comes to acne, the best mode of action would be to get rid of the present pimples and prevent the others from erupting. Now, learning how to treat acne would be easier than getting rid of the present ones. By constantly cleaning your face and ensuring that no pores are clogged, then it is possible to minimize the growth of pimples. In fact, I suggest that you just continue your treatment methods if you want to learn how to stop acne. Using toners and cleansers regularly is good. Also, eating healthy is a must.
One more thing, those who exercise regularly don’t really suffer from acne. This is because the toxins are flushed out by the way of sweat. Just make sure that you manage to clean yourself thoroughly after having a good sweat. When drying up, pat your skin, not rub.
Scar Treatment
If you already have scars due to acne, don’t lose hope yet. Orange peels and lemons are actually very effective when it comes to scars. Also, some commercial products are capable of lightening skin to remove scars.
There is also another treatment for scars that we call dermabrasion. This removes the first layer of the skin, allowing a new batch to grow. However, note that the process is painful and the skin takes time to grow back.
