Cardio Before Eating Any Breakfast Sucks!

Many specialists suggest cardio on an empty stomach in the morning for fat loss and maximum fat burning. But is that necessary? Does not that seem just a little extreme, just a little on the side of obsessive?

Personally, I think the benefits of fasted cardio in the morning are over-estimated. You are able to perform weight loss workouts so long as you physical exercise intensely on a normal basis, and eat according to strategy.

You don’t need to be up at 5am with hunger pains performing slow cardio to lose fat. That is just plain crazy.

Actually, I prefer interval training over slow cardio training anyways. And experience shows its very tough to do a great intense workout on a completely empty stomach.

Let’s look at it this way, utilizing athletes as an example. Many athletes, like basketball players, football corner backs, and hockey players are very lean. But do they do fasted cardio? Heck no. Actually, have you ever heard of a wide receiver performing “cardio” at all? No way. They sprint. They eat breakfast and then do football practice. Not the other way around.

Imagine having not eaten because 7pm the night before, and now you would like to do a hardcore workout at 6am? Do you truly think that’s going to work inside your favor?

I don’t.

So let’s focus on your interval training and lifestyle, not the minute particulars of how you can train whilst you are starving. Stick to something you are able to consistently do.

That said, if you truly want to workout first factor in the morning – simply because it suits your schedule greatest – and you just cannot force any food down your throat, I’m not going to stop you.

Again, that’s what works greatest for your schedule. And being consistent is what works greatest for your fat burning. So dump the fasted cardio if you don’t like it, and begin to appreciate your workouts and nutrition lifestyle rather.
