Recipe for Detox Diet
The Detox diet is a mixture of water, lemon juice, cayenne pepper and natural maple syrup. What the pepper does is speed up the metabolism of the body for faster fat burning. Lemon juice on the other hand helps cleanse the body of possible toxins.
Two table spoons of lemon juice is mixed with a glass of water. Eight ounces of water should be good enough for the whole mix. Make sure that you get fresh lemon juice since your aim here is to get rid of any preservatives or toxins in the body. When it comes to the cayenne pepper, you only need a small amount. It’s enough that you use around one-tenth of a teaspoon. When it comes to the natural maple syrup, you need about two table spoons. Again, keep in mind that the diet is meant to cleanse your body from toxins. Hence, solid foods are not necessary during the whole course of the diet.
If you don’t like the lemon detox diet, you can also learn other ways on losing pounds fast. One liquid diet that you might like is the type that still allows you to eat solid foods. Called the meal replacement liquid diet, it basically replaces one meal with liquid or a protein shake. Don’t try to up the ante and replace all meals with liquid although you can try to replace two big meals with liquid. Replacing all the meals with liquid is only done through prescriptions for obese people and is called a low calorie liquid diet.
