A leaky gut syndrome is caused, among other things, by bad eating habits. There are theories that suggest that this syndrome is caused due to years of bad eating habits. This syndrome mainly is caused due to the excess consumption of processed foods. Processed foods contain enzymes that cannot be digested and continue to accumulate in the intestines and near the colon. This means that these enzymes, over a period of time, form layers on the colon and the intestines.

These layers then block the pores of the colon and either lock them open or lock them shut. This causes the colon to release more particles that it would otherwise have into the blood stream. This adversely affects the digestive system and it develops allergies to various kinds of food. This brings to mind the necessity if an anti inflammatory diet.

Allergies of food often cause inflammations in the intestines. This makes it necessary to have an anti inflammatory diet. A typical anti inflammatory diet would include, among other things plenty of fruits and vegetables. These are naturally regarded as the best food for someone who has inflammatory troubles. A diet should also comprise of whole grains, lean protein, some spices that aid in anti inflammation and fatty acids that are rich in Omega -3 content. You should reduce your intake of carbohydrates, dairy foods and saturated trans fats. A leaky gut syndrome diet with all these will ensure that you have less inflammatory problems. It will also help you get rid of the leaky gut syndrome.
