The Truth About Free Trial Health Supplements

I witnessed a chat today at work and it sort of annoyed me, so I thought I would write about it to share my thoughts. The conversation was going on between 2 other ladies and they were talking about the free trial supplements offered on the web. One lady, her name is Mary, had just got her complimentary bottle of a colon cleanse supplement sent to her home and was happy about it and was talking about it with another girl Stephanie. Stephanie immediately began telling Mary she had been exploited, and the way the overall free trial deal on the web is a scam and how nothing is free, how her credit card was going to be billed time after time and there’s nothing she can do about it. Yada, yada yada. Mary went from highly excited to really concerned but she actually need not feel that way. I’ll explain why.

I myself get free trial products from the net all of the time. I’ve received trials of acai berry supplements, resveratrol supplements, colonic cleanse supplements, acai with pomegranate, you name it, I almost certainly used it or still use it. Was I a victim of a scam? Not even close. So, what’s all the talk about being tricked and how the products are not really free, or whether they even work or not?

I will try to answer these questions one at a time. Are the supplements really free? Not entirely, but for the most part, yes. You see, you are given a trial bottle of the supplement, whether it be a 14 day trial, thirty day trial, whatever. However, you’ve got to pay for the shipping. Usually less than 9 dollars. That’s where the original cost comes in. So why do they charge freight and give the supplement free of charge? Well, a lot of folks won’t try something if they aren’t sure if it works, but if they don’t have much to lose, they’d give it a try. The corporations know this, which explains why they give you the 1st bottle free. They ask for a credit card number to pay for the shipping because they’re confident about their supplements and they would like you to continue as a consumer, so the fine print is they will charge your card again after 30 days and send you an additional bottle. If you don’t want to get charged because the product didn’t work for you, and it may not work because everybody is different, than just call the toll free phone number to cancel it. Plain and simple. And you won’t be billed again. I have done this time after time without bother and I pay close attention to my creditcard bills and have seen no monkey business going on.

You see, offering something for no cost up front, asking for a Visa to pay shipping, and rebilling monthly is a winning business structure. It works, that is the reason why these companies do it. They know what works and they need to earn cash. I highly doubt that any of them are looking to trick anyone or they would not be in business very long. Most of the clients like the product and get results so the company knows they’ll get back the costs of offering anything free. Plus I’m certain they get a decent profit margin so it doesn’t take them long.

Now, using famous celebs to help with promotion is a bit underhanded I admit, but that’s been going on for a while. Watch any commercial and see if you can’t spot a star. And do you believe they use the product being publicized. Doubtful. They likely do it for the paycheck. Those kinds of promotions online are being tightened up on so you almost certainly won’t see much of that anymore anyhow.

As for the safety of the supplements, I personally only use superfoods or supplements that are natural. I do not look for weightloss products with chemicals and other fillers. I am getting products that contribute to well being, not products that make me sicker. In the case of acai, I will be getting extraordinarily healthy antioxidants to keep the free radicals at bay. For colon cleansing products, I am going to be getting help ridding my body of waste and losing pounds in the process.

That’s it for now. I hope I cleared up any misunderstanding and that you feel safer about any free trial product offers that are offered on the net.

I am a proud customer of free trial health supplements on the web. The thing is, I don’t wish to waste cash on something that does not work for my body type, so I’m happy I’m offered an inexpensive trial price i.e. the shipping. Although I can’t attest for all free trial offers on the web, here are a pair I’ve been successful with: Puritans Pride Acai Berry, Reviews On Resveratrol and Impacted Fecal Matter Removal.
