Reports claim that nearly 11 million procedures were carried out in the USA in the year 2006. A rise in the number of procedures is also documented among all ethnic and racial groups.

When it comes to breast augmentation, usually saline or silicon gel is planted beneath the surface of the breast, so the breast appeares enlarged and shaped. This procedure is also known as breast enlargement as well. Besides this, procedures including breast reduction and breast lift are also be used to enhance the appearance and the shape of the breast.
A cosmetic suregery procedure known as liposuction can be used to remove the excess fat from parts of the body such as buttocks, neck and thighs. This is also a very popular operation aimed at improving one s physical appearance. Moreover, liposuction is often used with abdominoplasty where the abdomen of an individual is firmed to enhance the overall appearance. Cosmetic suregery procedures also exist including rhytidectomy (face lift) and chemical peel which are used to remove lines and the signs of aging from one’s face.
These procedures give people a chance to enhance their lives highly. The gains include high self-esteem, better emotional health and improved self-confidence. In addition, the people who underwent cosmetic suregery procedures tend to be more outgoing and more involved in social interactions than prior to treatment.
Although these procedures are comparatively competent, they also carry certain health dangers. For many individuals, cosmetic surgery procedures promise a new beginning to their boring life and appearence. Although there are some dangers involved in the procedure, it is expressed that the benefits outweigh the dangers.
