On a warm Summers day there is nothing better than some good food and drink to enjoy on a picnic. It doesn’t matter whether you are enjoying a picnic with a group of friends, your loved ones or with your family a fully stocked hamper will go down well. Getting the right combination of food and drink in your hamper can be tricky and if you want to impress then home made sandwiches might not cut it. Below are a list of a few different ideas for food and drinks you can put in a luxury food hamper of your own.
1. A Quiche – You want to make sure you have something substantial to keep you going and quiche is perfect. There are a great number of different types of quiche out there for you to enjoy. You could have a quche lorraine or something that is a bit more unusual just as long as it is to your taste.
2. Salad – Salad can be a refreshing and healthy treat for everyone to enjoy. A nice Greek salad can be quite refreshing but if you are a salad dodger then a potato salad might be more up your street.
3. Some Tasty Cheese – Cheese is a tasty yet simple food to take on a picnic. You might want to buy a couple of your favourite cheeses or you may want to get a selection. The great thing about having a selection of different ones is that everyone at your picnic will be able to find something they like.
4. A Drink Or Two – If you are planning your picnic on a hot day then you are going to need something to drink. What you choose to have really depends on the situation. If you are planning to enjoy a family picnic then you’re going to want to have some soft drinks to keep the kids hydrated. If you are getting together with a group of friends then you might want to have a selection of beers although make sure you include some soft drinks for whoever is driving.
5. Sweet Sweets – Everyones favourite part of most meals let alone picnics is moving on to having a dessert or something sweet. If you have children at your picnic then a selection of confectionery will go down a treat. If your tastes are more mature then you will want to have some muffins, cookies or perhaps a chocolate torte.
