Preventing Panic Attacks With Its Signs And Symptoms.

About 5% of the nation’s population, at one time or another, experience a panic attack. As the term implies, people who have this disorder feels paralyzing terror when they are having an attack. This commonly afflicts teenagers as they are prone to stressful situations and they do not have sufficient knowledge on how they should handle stress. However, it can also happen to adult men and women. The attack can happen without a warning, even if the sufferer is not triggered. It can disable a person for some minutes. Fortunately, the body can only hold fight-or-flight fear for some minutes that is why normally, medical attention is not needed,

However, there are symptoms, both physical and psychological, that may require immediate attention from a doctor. The symptoms can develop and cease unexpectedly. The sufferer can experience four or when a person experiences it more of the warning signs listed below.

• Death fear–The person who has a panic attack feels that his life is going to end but his fear has nothing to do with the situation that he is in now.

• {Palpitations –the heart of the patient can pound due to the incontrollable fear that he is feeling.|Palpitations –the person heart beats faster and he is able to feel and hear his own heart beat and this happens because of his fear.|Palpitations –Because of his untold fear his hart begins to thump faster than normal.

• Shortness of breath –often, this will come with chest pains. Often, this leads to hyperventilation.| Shortness of Breath –This will further lead to discomfort in chest in other words hyperventilation.|Shortness of Breath. Chest discomfort happens because of this which will result in hyperventilation.
• Rickety and shaky – this occurs because of the trauma suffered and it can immobilize you.
• Nausea – this happens because of an unsettled stomach, this makes the patient giddy and shaky and ultimately faint.
• Depersonalization — This is the body’s natural way of reacting and controlling fear.
• Paresthesis –you body loses its sensation and becomes numb.
• Chills or hot flashes –any of these two may also be experienced by the sufferer. The chills would only aggravate the trembling causing the shaking to be uncontrollable.

Some of the above symptoms can not occur to a patient. A panic attack has the capability to disable a person. This would prevent him from expressing to others what happens to him. There are also nocturnal panic attacks. It happens mostly during nighttime when the patient is sleeping. Individuals whose attacks occur at night tend to experience more respiratory symptoms. They would suddenly be awakened from their sleep and feel terror. Other symptoms can also be experienced. It also occurs for no more than 10 minutes. However, people who suffer from nocturnal panic attacks find it more difficult get over from the episode compared with those who undergo daytime attacks. Men and women also have different warning signs.

Given here are some precautions that one can take to protect yourself from panic attacks

• Certain intake of medicines, foods and drinks like coffee tea and alcohol should be reduced as a prevention.
• Breathing exercises helps you to relax and it is the best way to handle stress related problems. Doing yoga and aerobic classes also can be a best way to reduce the onset of an attack.
• Have a healthy life style and have a person who is trust worthy and share all your problems and this will partly solve your issues .Believe that all your worries will come to an end and there is nothing unusual about it.

• When having an attack try out some relieving methods by relax your arm s and muscles. Do some breathing exercises and this will slow down and the attack will be stopped. Then inform everybody that you are not a mad person and that you can breathe and talk and you won’t die.

If the person has other medical conditions like heart problems, you need to take him to a hospital immediately as overworking of the heart may lead to heart attack. Do not attempt to treat it at home as it might compromise the survival of the sufferer.
