One of the reasons why kids grow so fast is the metabolism they have. At the age of rapid growth, the body produces energy at an amazing rate, making kids stretch overnight. They also exercise regularly without actually realizing it. They hang on to monkey bars and run around the playground.
What does adulthood have to do with stunted growth? Does being an adult mean you won’t grow anymore?
Even with progressing age, you still need to care for your height. Exercising should not stop even when you reach adulthood. So many other things take first priority. First there’s the television, and of course, there’s the internet. This lack of exercise takes its toll on the body, making it less able to stretch. When exercising is stopped completely, muscles become weak. The continuous toning of the muscles stops.
If you used to exercise regularly then stopped, you’ll feel the difference right away. Most adults don’t know that they lose the chance to increase their height if they forgo exercise. Eating right can help you grow taller. Even as an adult, you still need to eat the right amount of grow, glow and go foods. Proteins give amino acids that develop muscles. Vitamins also keep your body functioning well. Carbohydrates provide the energy for you to work daily.
Many of the minerals your body needs can be obtained from food you eat daily. Supplements should be taken if the nutritional value of the food you eat daily is fairly low. Minerals should always be a part of a healthy diet. Muscle cells get strained during exercise, and minerals are there to ensure that the cells replenish themselves. Growth rate can be optimum if you have enough minerals in your diet. Calcium is the same substance that nourishes your hair and fingernails, as well as your bones. We can consume all the calcium our body needs by drinking milk. Phosphorus is also needed for creating the bone food called calcium phosphate.
