What is the best book for helping someone to overcome anxiety? There are so many books on the market that it’s difficult to know where to start.
There is one anxiety book which stands out above the others.
For me this anxiety book has stood the test of time.
It is helpful for both the sufferer of anxiety and those who work with sufferers of anxiety.
Chance led me to this book and I’ve never been happier for the opportunity to promote it to others seeking help.
I spent a desperate period searching for an effective book to help me overcome severe anxiety.
Looking back I realise how lucky I was to discover this book.
It instantly gave me hope, an understanding of anxiety, a simple technique to follow and a way out of the problem.
So what is this overcoming anxiety book? It is ‘Self Help for your Nerves’ by Dr. Claire Weekes.
What is it about this book that makes it so wonderful?
This is the type of anxiety book which you will find yourself wanting to read and re-read again and again.
Anxiety is a state that can make you feel terribly isolated and alone. This book helps to dissolve those feelings of being alone in the problem and the solution.
The book is supportive and gives hope to the reader. Its authenticity and integrity really come through.
The unique angle of this book and its strong element of integrity rate it high above its paper peers.
Along with this empathetic understanding of anxiety, Weekes’ book is practical in its usage and easy to apply.
Reading this anxiety book is like having a caring therapist/mentor by your side saying the very thing you need to hear.
This book is written in a unique way so that there is always something you can learn by re-reading or just dipping in anywhere to look at it again, gaining pearls of wisdom.
It explains an anxious state better than any other I have read.
It describes how anxiety is so easy to suffer from.
But as well as detailing the problem it provides simple, yet very effective, techniques to help you overcome anxiety.
Also, there is a brilliant description of more serious nervous illness, and how that too, can be dealt with and overcome.
Many years later, having worked as a therapist, I read and researched hundreds of books.
Of all of them, I’ve found Claire Weekes anxiety book to contain an inspirational element as it guides the reader through the process of overcoming anxiety.
This remains, still, the best anxiety book that I have read in this field. ‘Self Help for your Nerves’ by Dr. Claire Weekes is simply outstanding.
