A yeast infection is a type of fungal overgrowth that is brought on by a yeast called candida. The precise term for a yeast infection is candidiasis and most often occurs in moist or warm parts of the body, in particular the mouth, vagina and digestive system. There are a range of different triggers that can lead to a yeast infection. Important factors are things such as pregnancy, stress, and other hormonal changes in the body such as menstruation can result in an infection. Some prescription medications, particularly antibiotics, and disorders that lower the natural defenses of the immune system can also result in a candida overgrowth. Detox dieting is designed to alleviate the ailments associated with large quantities of toxins that are built up in the human body. Getting rid of the toxins will not make a person completely healthy. While most people experience great relief from every day annoying symptoms, a detox diet does not eliminate diseases that are already in the system like cancer cells which can not be removed by detox dieting. because although they may have been caused by a toxin they are not an actual toxin.
