Stop The Divorce

This short piece is going to be about the possibilities of getting back together with your ex partner and stopping a divorce from going through. If you’re young and are dating people your own age it can be fairly simple to get your ex back but stopping a divorce can be a little more tricky.

We’ve all seen Hollywood films with beautiful stories about people splitting up but then getting back together and saving their marriage. Real life is so much different to the movies though and things hardly ever work out the way you want them too.

The reason why marriages can be harder to fix is because usually the decision to get a divorce isn’t taken lightly. Alongside divorce there is often lots of financial trouble and disputes.

For example what would happen with the family home?. It may need to be sold and then the money split or just one of you moving out and finding somewhere else. Whichever you decide, it will impact you both emotionally and financially.

Things get worse if there are kids involved too. If there are battles for custody then the divorce often turns out to be a nasty one with lots of feelings of resentment.

So as you can see, before getting divorced there’s a lot to think about. If someone decided they want to go through with it despite the hassle then they’re obviously disillusioned with the marriage and will probably be determined to see it through.

Once the ball is rolling and solicitors fees are being paid it can become even harder to turn things around. Getting a divorce is like having a clean break and a second chance at life for a lot of people and once they’ve decided it’s what they want not much can change their mind.

Stopping a divorce from happening is much more serious and difficult than if you are young and in a casual relationship. Young couples are falling in love, breaking up and then getting back together all the time.

On the other hand people who are married and break up are not likely to get back together, in fact about half of all marriages in America now end in divorce. By all means try to work things out, but you need to bear in mind that your chances aren’t good.
